Earlier last week, one of our CPanel servers began exibiting signs of hard drive failure. Though the server is of high spec, it was determined the best way to move forward was to completely replace the server rather than to repair/replace just the failing hard drive.

The new server hardware sports the latest Skylake generation E3-1230v5 CPU, 32GB DDR4 ECC RAM and Enterprise grade HDDs configured in RAID for redundancy. This hardware represents only a modest upgrade, but is better suited for long term support, upgrade and management.

The server is enhanced with CloudLinux OS and LiteSpeed, offering greater performance and stability compared to the usual CentOS/Apache configuration.

The migration process took in total approximately 70 hours. We have made several attempts to syncronize the new and old server to ensure data is up to date. However there may be some updates on one server that were not carried over to the new server. If you have been affected by this, please contact us and we can re-sync your account.

At this moment, all accounts and IPs operating on the old server are now fully migrated and running on the new server. However, incase of any issues with the migration, the old server will remain accessible (on a different IP) until the end of the month. If you require access to the old server, please open a support ticket and we will do our best to accomodate your needs.

If you have any queries or problems, please do not hesiate to contact us.
