At around 11PM, Saturday 25January, our network suffered a severe outage. The cause was found to be a faulty virtual network switch in a VPS node. Although a ‘broadcast storm’ had been experienced, the internal network issue had also affected our core switch and routers. It was not clear as to which device was the root cause of the problem until around 6:30am HKT. The VPS node and directly connected physical switch have thus been removed and the network has been restored.

Unfortunately, we are unable to reconnect the VPS node to any live network and as such the VPS hosted on the node will remain offline until further notice. If you are affected by this, please submit a ticket to contact us

Though the root cause of the problem is believed to be a fault with the VPS node and attached switched, we have plans to further secure our network from such problems occurring in the future by adding additional layers of isolation. We are also looking standardizing our network to ensure maximal compatibility and useable functionality of the series’ feature set.

If you have any queries, please feel free to contact us by E-Mail or submitting a ticket. Please be aware that we are currently experiencing high ticket/call volumes and we may need some time to provide a full response to you. We would also ask that tickets of an urgent nature be marked as high priority to ensure a more speedy response.
