Despite the ongoing DDoS attack, steps have been taken to mitigate the attack even through our Premium Routes.
Network performance, both in terms of latency and throughput, should largely be back to normal now for the affected subnet.
At aproximately 21:30 on October 23rd, a DDoS was detected. Host Hong Kong has taken steps to mitigate the effects of the attack. We at HostHK have decided to adopt a new design for our client area / billing system. The new interface is 'bigger' and more streamlined, with the objective of making it easier to navigate and use our system, and manage bills/invoices/services from a single interface.
As of September 3rd 2017, Host Hong Kong will no longer be processing Credit Card payments via 2Checkout. Payment via Credit Card is still possible via Stripe, Paypal and Skrill. On January 21st 2015, at 17:25, one of our network carriers had suffered from an outage and loss in connectivity. Traffic had been rerouted through another carrier and resulted in increased latency and reduced network speed.
